125th Anniversary. There aren’t many companies who can boast of being in business for more than a century, so when Michael Kinder & Sons (MKS) came to Nichols PR to help with a rebrand and launch, we knew we had a much bigger opportunity.

Michael Kinder & Sons is a successful construction company based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Family owned and operating since 1892, the company was looking for a fresh look and feel to their brand that built on their history, but also helped move them forward. Rather than just introduce refreshed branding, Nichols PR encouraged them to make an upcoming anniversary a reason for everyone to celebrate.

Nichols handled the brand refresh which included an all new identity package, a refreshed tone and copy points, a business publication campaign and corporate videos. Once completed, Nichols PR took over making sure the firm’s new look got the attention it deserved.

Rather than simply unveiling the new look, we tied it to MKS’ 125th anniversary. By creating an exclusive event, Nichols PR turned a brand refresh into a celebration. We created all the invitations, fun specialty items and other event materials. We provided media training and talking points for company leadership. But what really made this project special was the pre-planning and promotion. By thinking outside the box, Nichols PR ensured the party became a “can’t miss” event filled with past and present employees, community leaders and media coverage.
